About Dr. Virk
A Fresno Kid Who Came Back to Make a Difference
Dr. Harman Virk did not end up in Fresno by chance. He grew up here, attended Buchanan High School in Clovis, and watched his community deal with the same health challenges that bring
patients to his door today. Long before he was a physician, he was volunteering at the Poverello House — one of the Central Valley's most important shelters for people experiencing
homelessness — where he learned that medicine is as much about dignity as it is about diagnosis.
After high school, Dr. Virk pursued a Bachelor of Science in Neurology, Physiology, and Behavior at the University of California, Davis (2011–2013). He then went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (2016–2020) — one of the most respected osteopathic medical programs in the country.
Dr. Virk completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Community Memorial Health System in Ventura, California (2020–2023), accumulating over 10,000 hours of direct patient contact. During that time, he trained in the full breadth of adult medicine — managing complex conditions, coordinating hospital and outpatient care, and developing the clinical judgment that sets him apart.

"I am a Fresno native and am blessed beyond measure and truly grateful for every patient that comes to see us. It feels great to help my own Fresno and Central Valley community grow and flourish from a health standpoint. I love being able to tend to the patient who needs a health check-up, management of their medications, receiving proper education and counseling about their conditions, and trusting me to do the best job that I can so that I can ensure they can not only live a long life, but a quality life."
